ABOUT

OUR MISSION

ALTO began in Melbourne in 2013 for the purpose of promoting, supporting and connecting young Australian-Italians. We continue to connect and support our members and business leaders within the wider Australia-Italian community, to come together through a shared sense of culture and love for all things Italian.

OUR PURPOSE

As an independent, not-for-profit association, ALTO is driven to genuinely connect the next generation of Australian-Italians both professionally and personally. ALTO seeks to bring together the most talented young Australian-Italian professionals and next generation of business and community leaders.

David La Greca

President

David’s current role is Partnership Executive for the Strategic Partnerships and Alliances team at Bank of Melbourne. David manages corporate partners, large associations, employer groups and individuals, facilitating relationships between them and different banking segments such as the Premium Bank, Migrant Banking, Business Banking and Property Banking. He is a financial services professional with extensive experience across a number of sectors including Commercial Lending, Investment Products and Superannuation. David joined the ALTO Committee in July 2017 with a focus on bringing together talented Italian-Australian Professionals, Business and Community Leaders and supporting them in building solid, sustainable relationships.

Adrian D'Aprano

Treasurer

Adrian currently serves as the Treasurer of ALTO. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Monash University and a Master of Professional Accounting from Swinburne University. Having been an active member of the Italian social clubs during his tertiary studies as well as founding VITA, the natural progression for Adrian was to join the ALTO committee. Adrian is also a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), having previously worked in the Business Restructuring & Insolvency industry for PwC and PKF. In his current role as a Senior Commercial Analyst with Team Global Express, he serves as the key liaison point between the operation, finance and customer to provide insight for business improvement, drive cost savings and negotiate outcomes.

Linda Zinni

Secretary

Linda is the Practice Manager at Boss Private Clients since it was founded in 2007. She oversees the administration and management of the office and ensures the office is running productively, efficiently and happily. She undertakes a variety of tasks with extreme passion and enthusiasm and is an integral part of the team at Boss Private Clients. Linda also successfully completed a degree in Human Resource Management in 2003 at Victoria University and in 2019 she completed her certificate 3 & 4 in fitness at the Australian Institute of Fitness. Linda joined the ALTO committee in 2022 and is passionate about keeping the Italian heritage and culture alive to young Australian- Italian professionals to ensure it continues now and in generations to come.

Corey Vraca

Committee Member

Based at Colliers International's Melbourne North West office, focusing on the northern industrial market, Corey is a licenced estate agent and has completed a Bachelor in Business Management. Having been surrounded by real estate his whole life, Corey has worked his way up through various roles which has provided him with a wealth of experience and a great understanding of all areas of property and an intimate knowledge of Melbourne’s property market. He displays excellent leadership skills and loves working in a team environment. Corey commenced his real estate career in property management, covering various roles in his 9 years within his initial organisation. Ranging from portfolio management, business development management, where Corey played an integral part in the company’s growth, working on high volume listing and leasing on a number of prime CBD and fringe developments. Later moving into the role of department team leader, working alongside the department manager to oversee 15 staff across four offices.

Sabrina Pusello

Committee Member

Sabrina is a Manager in Deloitte’s M&A Consulting team in Melbourne. Sabrina has M&A experience in diverse industries where she has worked with clients on high profile sell-side transactions, and has additional experience in advising government bodies, financiers, and large corporations in financial distress. Sabrina is also a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).

Sabrina’s passion for the Italian community stems back to her years spent as Melbourne University Italian Social Club President, and later foundational member of VITA – a conglomerate body of various University Italian Clubs. Sabrina is focused on bridging the gap between university students and ALTO, and looks forward to increasing the representation of young professional ALTO members.

Steven Perri

Committee Member

Steven is a founding member of the ALTO steering committee and has served previously as treasurer and is the current standing President. Steve is passionate about contributing to the Italian Community and providing young Italian – Australian professionals with an eco-system within which to network and build working relationships. This has been at the core of his involvement with ALTO. He is proud of his Italian heritage which he considers to be integral to his diligent work ethic. He is driven by family, friendship and professional relationships and understands that the measure of ones worth is best valued by contributions made for the benefit of others. It is with this philosophy in mind that ALTO was established and the creation of a community worthy of the sacrifices that previous generations of Italian migrants have made which continues to drive it forward. Professionally Steven is a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Finance Partner at PKF Melbourne with in excess of 20 years of experience.

Julian Amato

Committee Member

Julian Amato is a commercial litigation solicitor with a strong interest in politics and community engagement. Julian has worked for various national and global law firms in both Sydney and Adelaide. He has represented large corporate clients in some of the most high-profile class actions in Australia, and gives back to his community through his committee involvement with the Law Society of South Australia and Australian Lawyers for Human Rights. Julian is passionate about engaging with his local community to help achieve better outcomes for those who are less fortunate. He is also an advocate for the Italian-Australian community in Adelaide, and regularly appears on the local Italian Radio to encourage a sense of cohesion and collegiality among the Italian Australia business community. In his spare time, Julian is a loyal supporter of Italian football team AC Milan and regularly watches the games with the AC Milan Adelaide Club. He has been a member of the ALTO SA committee since 2021.

Matthew Amato

Committee Member

Matthew Amato is an Investment Adviser at Ord Minnett Limited with a strong background in equities markets, having worked in various institutional trading roles during his time in Sydney to setting up a private client business in his home city of Adelaide. Matthew is passionate about maintaining a sense of pride and fellowship within the local Italian community of Adelaide, South Australia and providing opportunities and mentorship to young business minded Italo-Australians looking to make progress in their field. Matthew is a second generation Italian with both sets of grandparents migrating from the Campania region near the town of Benevento. Matthew has been part of the ALTO South Australia committee since 2021 and has been a part of the growth that has occurred within the state’s branch.

Gemma Borrello

Committee Member

Gemma is a commercial litigator. She is a Senior Associate at MinterEllison and has over 6 years' experience providing clients with advice in a range of commercial disputes. Gemma assists clients with, among other things, contract disputes, construction disputes, product and professional liability claims and agribusiness disputes. Gemma joined the South Australian ALTO Committee in 2020. She is a third generation Australian Italian and chose to join the committee to reconnect with other Australian Italians. Gemma is looking forward to working with the South Australian Committee to organise events to bring people together to celebrate what it means to be an Australian Italian today.

Pino Galimi

Committee Member

Pino Galimi is the Owner of the Bank of Queensland in Adelaide and has extensive experience in both commercial and retail banking. Pino quickly moved up the ranks in various major banks in Adelaide and Melbourne where he mastered the skills needed to navigate the industry. With a strong desire to provide his community with better banking options, Pino decided to open his own Bank of Queensland, which he successfully launched in Adelaide in 2021. As the Owner of the Bank of Queensland- Adelaide, Pino is known for his strategic vision for businesses, attention to detail, and dedication to providing superior banking services to his customers. He believes in putting his customers first, and this philosophy has been the cornerstone of his success in the industry. Born and raised in Adelaide, Pino is a second-generation Italian hailing from the beautiful region of Calabria. His passion for keeping Italian culture alive and thriving for future generations has led him to be an active member of the local Italian community. Pino is a proud advocate for his Italian heritage and culture, and he actively participates in various community events that celebrate Italian traditions.

Josh Fileti

Committee Member

Joshua Fileti is a Financial Adviser at Synergy Private Wealth – which is a business Joshua established to assist in helping people navigate financial complexities in life. Joshua is a financial services professional and takes pride in being able to guide clients through many of life’s challenges. Joshua joined ALTO in 2022 as he is passionate around preserving the Italian culture – which may ultimately be passed to younger Italian- Australians. On a personal perspective, Joshua enjoys spending time with his family, waking to a double shot espresso and cheering for Ferrari on the Formula 1 calendar.

Ivan Vantagiato

Committee Member

Ivan Vantagiato the Co-Founder and Director of Banq Media, with over 10 years’ experience in customer relations and digital marketing. A competitive individual, someone who strives to bring his clients the best possible outcomes in a results driven market. Ivan has also built a following of over 120,000 in the blockchain crypto space under the name Crypto Serpent. Sharing his knowledge and passion for the industry across Australia.

A once off lifetime membership fee of $95 gives you national membership and access to the exclusive ALTO network.
